Thermal Grizzly Lapping Tool for 13th Generation Intel CPU

The lapping tool for Intel's 13th Gen processors enables the heat spreader to be safely sanded down. The CPU is easily mounted on the lapping tool using the included screws. The tolerances of the lapping tool allow the heat spreader to be ground down by 0.2 millimeters. The 13th Gen Lapping tool is compatible with 12th Generation Intel Core CPUs. Sandpaper in grit sizes 400, 1,200 and 2,500 is included.

Optimize your cooling surface by sanding the heat spreader On the lapping tool there are bars on the acrylic glass around the clamped CPU. These bars are 0.2 millimeters high. If the webs are completely removed, grinding must be stopped. 12th and 13th Generation processors are compatible with both the 12th and 13th Gen Contact Frame as long as they are not ground more than 0.2 millimeters.

To ensure the largest possible contact area between the IHS and the base plate of the CPU cooler, the latter should also be sanded. The lapping tool for Intel's 13th Gen CPUs comes with a total of three sheets of sandpaper. The included sandpaper has grit sizes of 400, 1,200 and 2,500 (one sheet each). The lapping tool for Intel's 13th Gen CPUs is intended for one-time use, but can also be used multiple times. When using it multiple times, special care must be taken not to sand off too much material from the IHS.
