If an alternative cooler is mounted on the graphics card, its fans must generally be powered via the mainboard or directly from the power supply. With this adapter cable, however, a connection directly to the graphics card is possible. For this, the special 2-pin VGA fan connector is connected to a conventional 3-pin.
If possible, however, in this way also the original fan can be exchanged for an alternative model while maintaining the radiator.
Note: Pay attention to the load capacity of the graphics card fan connector in Realtion to the power consumption of the fan used to avoid overloading.
